East Woodhay v Liss: LISS secured their sixth win of the season after another century from Pleace junior put them in a strong position, but it took vital wickets from Cowell and Pleace senior to keep the hosts at bay.
Liss batted first but lost Kemp in the first over before a run was scored. Brownlee joined Pleace junior and the pair moved the score on at a steady rate. Pleace junior went past his 50 and the 100 partnership came up in the 23rd over. Pleace junior was in good form but just as he went past his century a deflection ran him out for 102.
Cowell started aggressively and took the visitors towards 200, and Brownlee reached 55 before he was bowled by Dando. Cowell went past his half-century, and Allcock joined Cowell and was equally aggressive.
A quick partnership of 26 was broken when Allcock was run out but Cowell (63) stayed to the end as Liss set the hosts 263 to chase down.
The opening partnership of Flack and Bird started very well and put away any loose deliveries. Hedicker made the breakthrough in the 15th over, having Bird caught for 37. Dando came to the crease and made an aggressive start, and Flack went past his 50.
Cowell and Pleace senior were brought into the attack, and Flack was bowled for 72.
Two more quick wickets for Pleace senior left the hosts 190-5 with 11 overs left.
Liss were pulling it back and Cowell struck twice in quick succession.
Cowell picked up his third with Allcock taking a catch in the deep. Wrenn finished off the innings well as Liss secured their victory.
