Elsted v Liss: LISS batted first in this local derby, but Archie Wadey accounted for Pleace senior.
Anthony White was introduced into the attack and immediately met with success when he bowled Moore for 15. White had the Liss batsmen in all sorts of trouble and also accounted for Kemp and J Evans senior.
At 97-6 Liss were in disarray, but skipper Pleace junior, who normally opens the innings, came in at number nine.

Elsted did not make the best of replies as they lost three wickets for 43 runs, with Pleace junior taking two of the wickets.
Worse was to follow as Elsted slumped to 59-6, but captain Terry Wadey strode to the wicket and he found a very useful partner in White.
The Liss attack came under fire from this point, with White striking an enormous six. T Wadey was in fine form and found the boundary on numerous occasions.
