Froxfield II v Herriard II: FROXFIELD’S second team were beaten by Herriard’s second team on Saturday afternoon in Regional Division 3 North East of the Hampshire Cricket League.

The home side won the toss and elected to bat. They started steadily and reached 63-3 in the 12th over, but the normally reliable Sudath Patabendi (two) and Ryan Gander (19) were both back in the pavilion. Wickets continued to fall steadily and Froxfield were all out for 112 in the 26th over. Froxfield’s top scorers were Chan Sankar (27) and Jamie Jenkins (25). The pick of the Herriard bowlers was Shahane Sandeep (4-9).

In reply Herriard scored slowly, reaching 97-3 in the 31st over. The visitors lost three more wickets before reaching their target in the 37th over. Sandeep, following his impressive bowling figures, top scored for Herriard with 43. Sankar (2-18) and Patabendi (2-24) were the pick of the Froxfield bowlers.
