IBM Hursley III v Liss II: LISS’ second team lost by 37 runs away at IBM Hursley’s third team on Saturday afternoon in Regional Division 3 North East of the Hampshire Cricket League.

Liss won the toss and elected to bowl and with the score at 51-4 in the 16th over it looked as if the visitors were going to be chasing a low score.

However, a quickfire 52 from Mo Bilal and a hard-hitting 31 not out from Hursley captain Andy Coking, aided by ten dropped catches from Liss, allowed the home side to finish on 191-7.

Ultimately this proved too many runs for Liss to chase.

Batting at three Peter Fry scored an impressive 95 not out, but apart from a steady 20 from Steve May, Fry ran out of partners and in the 41st over the visitors were bowled out for 154.

Liss will hope to bounce back this Saturday, when they will host Colden Common and Otterbourne’s third team at The Glebe.
