Tichborne Park v Liphook & Ripsley: LIPHOOK and Ripsley earned a comprehensive 85-run victory at Tichborne Park on Saturday afternoon in Division 1 of the Southern Premier Cricket League.

Liphook were asked to bat first and got off to a shaky start and slipped to 16-3 with Rob Nicklin (five), Gabriel Broadhurst (six) and Giles Cover (one) all back in the pavilion.

Suman Ganguly and Grant Rouse rescued the innings though with a 98-run partnership before Rouse fell for 34.

Tichborne Park’s reply never got going and George Ayling (31), Jack Skinner (28), Edward Berry (20) and James Long (11 not out) were the only batsmen to reach double figures as the hosts were bowled out for 130 in the 41st over.

Dave Elliott did most of the damage with a superb spell of 4-13 off ten overs.

Charles Janczur (3-36), George Neave (2-23) and Suman Ganguly (1-31) were the other Liphook wicket takers.
