GRAYSHOTT Cricket Club youth manager Graham Sampson was presented with a prestigious award at the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club.

Sampson received the 2017 England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Coach Award for Outstanding Contribution to Cricket in Hampshire from former England, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire player James Taylor just before the NatWest T20 game between England and South Africa at the Ageas Bowl.

Sampson, who has been the youth manager at Grayshott Cricket Club since 2004, has also been shortlisted for an ECB National Award.

The winner of the ECB National Award will be announced at a ceremony to be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground in October.
