HARTING Cricket Club fell to a 19-run defeat against Midhurst in I’Anson League Division 3 on Saturday afternoon.

Captain Simon Lush (40) and Nathan Kemp (60) were the only Midhurst batsmen to reach double figures as the visitors were bowled out for 151 in the 45th over.

Andy Wadey (1-9), Graham Nutting (1-20), Jake Wadey (1-25), Christian Prior (2-44) and Simon Kyte (2-27) were the Harting wicket takers.

Kyte (21), Terry Wadey (11), James Barlow (14), J Wadey (16) and Steve Baldwin (24) were the only Harting batsmen to reach double figures as the home side were restricted to 132-9 off their allotted 45 overs.

The home side’s total was boosted by 38 extras, but they still slipped to defeat.

Henry Locke (1-21), Julian Goodale (1-9), Adam Swazdt (3-18), Sam Mustow (1-17), Tom Creed (1-18) and Kemp (2-20) were the Midhurst wicket takers.
