Hawkley v IBM South Hants: HAWKLEY earned a draw against IBM South Hants.

The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first. The opening pair of Hicks and Croxson soon got the scoreboard ticking with some assured batting. Sheamus Evans made the breakthrough with the score on 55 when Croxson edged a lifting delivery to wicketkeeper Clive Hopkin for 25. Hicks was then bowled for 39 by Liam Lloyd.

Four other IBM batsmen came and went in relatively quick time before Smith (54 not out) and Tate (52 not out) added an unbroken partnership of 103 as the visitors scored 245-6 off 43 overs.

After tea Hawkley batsman Mark Hibberd saw his middle stump flying behind him, but Hopkin dug in and scored 41.

With the score moving too slowly for a Hawkley win, the dogged pair of Kevin Hiscock (29) and Lloyd (32) dropped anchor and batted out for the draw as Hawkley finished on 150-4 off 37 overs.
