Hursley Park II v Liss: AFTER two rained off games and two losses, Liss looked to finish the season on a high with a trip to Hursley Park.
The visitors batted first but lost an early wicket as Pleace was bowled for a duck to leave Liss on 6-1.
Hannam joined Kemp at the crease and set about re-building the innings. The hosts were bowling well though and Sutherland soon removed Hannam for nine.
Kemp took the attack to the hosts and hit 17 from one over as he started to build the score nicely with Cowell. The run rate increased and Kemp passed his half-century before he was caught for 69.
Blanks scored some quick runs and took Liss past 130 before he was bowled for 20.
Liss lost their fifth and sixth wickets in quick succession but Allcock and Cowell put on 38 together before Allcock was trapped leg before wicket for 23. Cowell fell shortly afterwards for 51 and Liss finished on 199-8.
Charles and Baker opened the bowling for Liss and after some early boundaries Baker made the breakthrough, dismissing Jack Gilbert for 14.
Baker soon took two more wickets to leave the home side on 48-3.
After 20 overs the hosts had moved on to 76 but a change of bowling saw Blanks pick up a wicket with just his fourth ball, and Matty Evans then dismissed Sutherland for one.
Blanks bowled quickly and took four more wickets to finish with figures of 5-36. Cowell picked up the final wicket, leaving the home side all out for 152.
Liss finished the season in fourth place in the table.
