Bramshaw v Liphook & Ripsley: LIPHOOK and Ripsley have the experienced trio of Harry Munt, Ryan Covey and Dave Elliott to thank for a three-wicket victory at Bramshaw in the National Village Cup.

The early honours went to Bramshaw opener Brendon Streather, whose authoritative 61 was the backbone of the home side’s innings of 185.

Joe Coombs and Simon Booth chipped in with 22 apiece. However, slow left-armer Elliott bowled Streather and then checked the Bramshaw middle order with 4-47 off seven overs.

Covey and the in form Munt, who had both already each bagged a couple of Bramshaw wickets, dominated the Liphook reply.

Covey scored 51 off 46 balls and Munt went on to complete an excellent undefeated 72 off 86 balls, as wickets tumbled at the other end.

Bailey Loveless (2-29), Jamie Martin (2-36), Mark Angel (2-17) and Mike Kingston (1-45) were the Bramshaw wicket takers.

This win means Liphook now move on to the regional final on June 10, which will be at Ripsley Park against either Tichbourne Park or Easton and Martyr Worthy.
