LIPHOOK and Ripsley are ready for their National Village Cup final at Lord’s on Sunday.
He said: “Everything has ramped up in the last week.
“There is a lot of excitement among the players and everyone is looking forward to it. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us.”
Liphook won eight National Village Cup games in a row to reach Lord’s, sealing their place in the final with a 93-run victory at Mayfield in the semi finals.
Janczur has named his XI for Sunday’s final: Ryan Covey, Rob Nicklin, Harry Munt, Suman Ganguly, George Neave, Grant Rouse, Jonny Pryce, Ric Williams, Sean Burton, Janczur and Dave Elliott. Jamie Hall and Chris Martin complete Liphook’s 13-man squad.
Liphook chairman Laurence Fiddler said: “The club has had some great moments but probably none match the realisation after the semi final win at Mayfield, when we knew our club was going to play at the home of cricket, Lord’s, for the first time ever.
“It will be a great day out not only for the players who have earned the right to be there but also for the volunteers who give up their time freely to make sure the club continues to thrive and prosper, and who will be proud and vocal in support of the team.”
