Liphook & Ripsley III v Odiham & Greywell III: LIPHOOK captain Max Chaplin managed to win the toss, and elected to bat first.

John Strong and Dave Coombes opened the batting for Liphook, but Strong was stumped in the fourth over.

Connor Welfare joined Coombes at the crease and they put on 38 for the second wicket. Welfare was in good form, striking five boundaries in his 24 before he was caught. Laurence Fiddler came and went for 10, swiftly followed by Matt Cansfield (two), Alistair Lewis (nine) and Anthony White (11).

Coombes then fell for 32, and Chaplin made a quickfire 11 before skying a ball that was comfortably taken by the wicket keeper. Steve White (seven) was bowled going for a mighty swing, and Adam Williams only lasted two balls, leaving Nick Cansfield stranded on 16 not out.

Opening bowlers Welfare and M Cansfield both bowled well for Liphook, and M Cansfield dismissed David Hiscock thanks to a well taken catch by Coombes.

Spells by A White and Chaplin offered something different, but Bruce Aplin and Max Morris weathered the storm and started to build a commanding position with a partnership of 97.

Coombes caused all sorts of trouble as he removed Aplin for 33 and bowled Andy Stenning. Strong got in on the act, drawing David Gray forward and giving Lewis the opportunity to stump him for a duck, and 102-1 had turned to 103-4. Morris was finally removed for 75 off the bowling of Coombes, but Odiham knocked off the final runs required to win by five wickets.
