Liss v Amport: LISS beat Amport by four wickets on Saturday.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat. Opening bowlers Shaun Blanks and Liam Charles got off to a steady start, with Amport only reaching 23 after ten overs.
Charles got the breakthrough in the 16th over, bowling Barnett for eight.
A partnership of 57 was then formed between Hickman and Gillard before Hickman was bowled by Hedicker for 52. Gillard reached 73 not out as Amport finished on 198-7.
Liss openers Toby Austin and Richard Pleace looked comfortable at the crease until Pleace nicked one to slip for 19. Liss then lost Hannam two overs later.
Austin and Phil Moore put on a fine partnership of 118, with Moore being the aggressor and Austin ably assisting him before he was caught for 66.
Liss were well placed at 151-3, and the hosts continued to score their runs at a steady rate.
Moore fell in the 36th over for 32, bringing Cameron Clarke to the crease. Clarke struck four fours and pushed Liss closer to the win.
The home side lost two more wickets, before Blanks joined Clarke and saw Liss home to victory in the 41st over. Clarke finished on 20 not out.
