Liss v Overton: LISS bowled first and made the perfect start, with Hedicker taking a wicket with his fourth delivery.
Overton took an aggressive approach to batting and Watts went after the bowling, hitting two maximums in his first four balls and then a flurry of big swings to knock the ball around.
Cowell had Deacon caught for 15 and Hedicker had the dangerous Watts caught for 29. At the halfway point Overton had reached 85-7 and were not just going to give up.
Cowell picked up a fourth wicket but, with only two wickets needed, the home side started to get frustrated.
Both batsmen started to open up with overs running out and the odd boundary soon increased the run rate.
Wrenn came back into the attack and struck twice in two overs. Overton had reached a respectable total thanks to the lower order and Liss were now chasing 159 for victory.
The usual partnership of Kemp and Pleace Junior were going at five an over from the word go and quickly moved on to 57 from the first ten overs.
Deacon eventually made the breakthrough, taking the wickets of both Kemp (33) and Pleace Junior (38) in the space of two overs.
Gough and Cowell survived a few early scares to knock the ball around and took Liss past 100.
Patel then bowled both Cross and Small to leave Liss on 129-6 before Allcock started to find the boundary.
Although Liss lost Gough for a well earned 28, they reached 162-7 with 13 overs left.
