Tichborne Park III v Liss II: NINE-MAN Liss galloped home to victory in 31 overs to record an impressive six-wicket victory at Tichborne Park’s third team on Saturday afternoon in Regional Division 3 North East of the Hampshire Cricket League.

Liss won the toss and elected to bowl on an overcast and humid day.

Baker and Evans bowled well in their opening spell, reducing Tichborne to 30-3 from 10 overs.

However, contributions from Nick Connell (56), Derrick Bone (46) and Karl Cleeve (42) saw the Tichborne score rise to 203 all out from 30 overs.

Hedicker (one wicket) and Miles (three wickets) were the other Liss wicket takers.

Then in 31 overs impressive contributions from openers Peter Fry (52) and Tom Townsend (59), coupled with steady batting from May (25) and Miles (19 not out) saw Liss across the line for a comfortable victory.
