Liss v Sparsholt II: LISS lost the toss and were put in the field on Saturday.

Lawrence Baker and Dan Dillon-Thiselton bowled exceptionally well to restrict the visitors. Baker got the breakthrough, bowling Skeoch in the tenth over for 13 with the score on 24.

Baker struck again when Stegall nicked one behind and was caught by Henry Austin for nine with the score on 34-2.

Dillon-Thiselton took the next wicket when Williams was caught by Baker for 11. Baker claimed fine figures of 2-13 from nine overs and Dillon-Thiselton 1-13 from nine.

Liam Charles and Phil Moore came into the attack and Charles took the next two wickets to reduce Sparsholt to 90-5 in the 34th over. Moore picked up two wickets, both in the 43rd over, as Sparsholt finished on 127-7.

Liss lost an early wicket when Henry Austin was caught in the second over, which brought Phil Moore to the crease. Opening bowler Cook dismissed Gavin Kemp and Ian Brownlee as Liss slipped to 29-3.

Moore and Liam Charles built a partnership, but when Charles fell for ten Liss were on 60-5.

Jake Southam joined Moore at the crease and the pair settled nicely and kept the score creeping nearer to the Sparsholt target. Southam was bowled by Williams for 20 after a partnership of 38 with Moore.

With the score on 98-6 Chris Allcock joined Moore at the crease to knock off the remaining runs. Liss gained victory in the 37th over – Moore finished on 30 not out and Allcock 19 not out.
