Liphook & Ripsley v Hartley Wintney: LIPHOOK and Ripsley have Harry Munt to thank after their eight-run victory at home to Hartley Wintney in Division 1 of the Southern Premier Cricket League on Saturday afternoon.

Having winning the toss and opted to bat, Liphook lost openers Ryan Covey and Rob Nicklin without scoring before in form century making Munt held the innings together.

Munt who scored his maiden Southern Premier Cricket League hundred, was at the crease for 150 minutes, sharing 50-run partnerships with Sam Franks (20) and Sean Burton (31).

After a fine innings Munt was finally dismissed for 102 when he was run out by a deflection backing up at the bowler’s end.

There were two wickets each for James Beckwith (2-21), Ben Earney (2-20) and Rhys Batcup (2-34) as Liphook were bowled out for 208 in the 48th over.
