PARK Farm Raiders won East Meon Cricket Club’s annual sixes competition on Saturday, beating Real East Meon in the final.
Park Farm Raiders scored 64 off their five overs, and Real East Meon needed a six off the last ball to win the game, but they were unable to hit a six.
West Meon Pink Maidens finished in third place after winning the third place play-off match against Atletico East Meon.
Eight teams had entered the competition, which started with two pools of four teams.
Real East Meon won Pool A, with Atletico East Meon finishing second. IBM South Hants and the Mallards were the other teams in Pool A.
Park Farm Raiders won Pool B, with West Meon Pink Maidens finishing second. Rogate and DACD were the other teams in Pool B.
The leading run scorer over the course of the day was Atletico East Meon’s Jeff Wheeler, who scored 76.
