Petersfield v Hobos: PETERSFIELD Cricket Club’s first team earned their first win of the season with a 51-run victory against Hobos in Hampshire Cricket League County Division 2.

Petersfield’s team had a mixture of youth and experience, and Archie Norris top scored with 45. Dominic Carson (21) and Henry Shore (30) also added vital contributions as the home side were bowled out for 162 in the 39th over. Mumtaz (5-35) was the pick of the attack for the visitors.

Petersfield dug in with the ball and produced an impressive performance in the field to bowl the visitors out for 111 in the 30th over. Youngster Ben Turk (3-27) impressed with a fine spell of bowling, and skipper Damian Carson (3-33) made some important breakthroughs before Keith Gumbe (4-18) wrapped up the innings.

Petersfield are at home again this Saturday, when they will host Easton and Matyr Worthy. The match will start at The Heath at 2pm.
