Petersfield v RAM: PETERSFIELD crashed to an 84-run defeat against RAM in County Division 3 North of the Hampshire Cricket League on Saturday afternoon.
The visitors batted first, and Petersfield got off to a good start in the field when Joe Clarke took an early wicket.
Thereafter it was difficult for Petersfield, as the visitors helped themselves to quick runs. Ali (54) and Ahmed (54) top scored for the visitors, who were also helped by 53 extras as they scored a formidable 319-9 off their allotted 45 overs. Clarke (2-52), Hans Mai (1-37), Oscar Amis (2-53), Ben Anscombe (1-31) and Henry Shore (3-32) were the Petersfield wicket takers.
Shore (nine) fell early on in the home side’s reply, but Anscombe (60) and Dave Marshall (33) added 79 for the second wicket. Straw (16), Jack Wrenn (24), Jake Hastie (11), Amis (13) and Oscar Windebank (29) also reached double figures as Petersfield were bowled out for 235.
