Bramshaw v Petersfield: PETERSFIELD Cricket Club’s first team returned to winning ways with a five-wicket win at Bramshaw in Hampshire Cricket League County Division 2 on Saturday.

Andy Hart scored an impressive 128 for the home side, but a good performance from Petersfield meant Bramshaw were bowled out for 179 in the 36th over. David Greetham (3-24), Damian Carson (3-31), Keith Gumbe (2-58), Ben Anscombe (1-0) and Ben Turk (1-40) took the wickets.

Petersfield’s reply got off to an excellent start as openers Damian Carson and Henry Shore produced a century partnership for the first wicket. Shore was the first to fall for 70, and Damian Carson followed for 55. Dominic Carson (20) kept the run chase on track, and Turk (eight not out) and Andy Barnes (12 not out) finished the job as Petersfield reached their target in the 36th over. Petersfield are at home on Saturday, and will host Fair Oak’s second team.
