Petersfield under-19 Panthers v Portsmouth & Southsea under-19s: PETERSFIELD under-19 Panthers took on Portsmouth and Southsea under-19s at the Heath on a gorgeous Friday evening in the NatWest U-19 Club T20 competition.

Petersfield bowled and fielded well to restrict Portsmouth and Southsea to a total of 110-8 off their 20 overs, which included three run-outs.

Ben Jackson top scored for the visitors with 29 not out, with Ben Turk (2-15) and Jordan Bates (2-12) picking up two wickets each.

In reply, the Panthers chased down the total in the 16th over for the loss of just one wicket, Alex Thomas hitting an unbeaten 53 including two sixes into the trees.

With music, commentary, a barbecue and a bar, an enthusiastic crowd enjoyed a top evening of T20 cricket.

The Panthers’ final home fixture in the NatWest U-19 Club T20 competition is against Locks Heath on Sunday, starting at 10am.
