Petersfield v Ramsdell: PETERSFIELD lost the toss and were asked to bat first on a sunny afternoon at the Heath.
The Ramsdell pace attack set about the task with enthusiasm, while the home side were generally pleased to bat first on what looked like a good track.
This showed, as an opening partnership of 139 between Henry Shore (105) and Jake Hastie (52) set a solid foundation for the innings.
Hastie was trapped leg before wicket by Burrows as the first five bowlers for Ramsdell remained wicketless in their early spells.
In-form Tom Sherry (49 not out) joined Shore, who was now well on his way to a century that included some stylish shots. The Petersfield innings closed on 256-5 off their 45 overs.
The Ramsdell reply never really got going thanks to some tight bowling from the Petersfield openers, backed up by good fielding.
Ollie Simpson returned fine figures of 2-14 from his nine overs, a feat matched later by spinner Rich Stephens.
Chris Russell (3-39) tempted the Ramsdell batsmen, including skipper Bradley (28), into one too many lofted shots and was well supported by good catching in the deep.
Despite a rearguard action from Chambers (28), Petersfield set more attacking fields in search of maximum points.
Ed Cropley found the glove of Morley, which fell to Shore at short gully to complete the victory by 139 runs with only a few balls remaining.
