THE CRICKET season is just over two months away and Steep CC are after new players of all ages to join the club. Steep now has a junior section comprising under-sevens, nines, 11s, 13s, 15s, 17s and 19s.

The adult sides have two Saturday league teams and a Sunday friendly team. The club are Clubmarked by the England and Wales Cricket Board and there are eight qualified coaches.

Everyone is welcome, including girls, from experienced pros to those picking up a bat for the first time. Pre-season training sessions are: under-nines and 11s: 6pm to 7pm at The Petersfield School (TPS) on February 22 and 29, March 7, 14 and 21, and April 4. Under-13s, 15s and 17s: 6pm to 7pm at TPS on February 23, March 1, 8, 15 and 22, and April 5. Both £3 a session. Senior training: 4pm to 6pm at Bedales on March 13, 19 and 27, and April 2, 10 and 16. £4 a session.
