Lymington II v Hambledon: HAMBLEDON earned a convincing seven-wicket victory away at Lymington’s second team in Division 3 of the Southern Premier Cricket League on Saturday afternoon.

The home side batted first, and Hambledon got off to a good start in the field when Rhidian Chapman (1-27) dismissed Syed Agha for four early on.

Oliver Kelly and Dimitri Adams added 39 for the second wicket before Henry Glanfield (1-11) dismissed Adams for 17.

Kelly and Drew Robinson had Lymington well set at 81-2, but the game changed when George Harding dismissed Kelly for 33.

Ian Turner then dismissed Robinson for 21, and Harding (3-33) and Turner (4-9) made light work of the rest of Lymington’s middle and lower order as the hosts’ last eight wickets fell for just 21 runs. Lymington were bowled out for 102 in the 39th over.

Hambledon’s reply got off to a shaky start as George Marshall and Indy Chakrabarti were both bowled for three by Liam Shore (2-19) to leave the visitors 13-2. When Alexander Willoughby fell for 14 Hambledon were 50-3, but Will Bond (26 not out) and Glanfield (32 not out) knocked off the remaining runs.
