PETERSFIELD Town's 30 year cup final curse continued as they lost to ten-man AFC Portchester in extra time on bank holiday Monday.

The 1-0 defeat in the Wessex League Cup final, the second year in a row they have been runners-up in the competition, means the Rams' wait over three decades for victory in a final continues.

You have to go back to the 1980s for the last time when a Petersfield captain held aloft a cup after the team won the last stage of any trophy competition....
