Waterside Ladies 0 Petersfield Ladies 7: PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s ladies’ first team faced Waterside Ladies away at their ground in Southampton on Saturday.

Petersfield were hoping for revenge after crashing to a 5-1 defeat in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Petersfield put consistent pressure on Waterside, which allowed the visitors to open the scoring early on.

The visitors led 3-0 at half time, and they kept the pressure on in the second half.

Petersfield built their game from the back and pushed Waterside deep into their own territory.

Daines went on a strong run from the back and linked well to Sinclair, who managed to feed into the D successfully for Hedges to score the first goal of the second half and make it 4-0.

A fine effort across the board and continued commitment to keep the pressure up resulted in Petersfield winning 7-0.

Sinclair finished with a hat-trick, while Hedges and Bardoe both scored two goals each.

The ladies’ next match is at home to Yateley Ladies’ second team at Bedales School at 12pm on Saturday.
