Haslemere Ladies III 0 Petersfield Ladies 5: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ first team won an action-packed fast game of hockey against Haslemere Ladies’ third team.

Haslemere demonstrated quick accurate passing in midfield but struggled to defend Petersfield’s flair in the D.

Hedges made the breakthrough early on for the visitors when she found the backboard with a reverse hit strike.

Petersfield gained plenty of confidence from taking the lead, and the goals continued to flow.

Sinclair used good power to score two goals from deep in the D, crossing across the goal.

The score at half time was 3-0 to Petersfield, and despite making no substitutions at the break the visitors continued to fight hard for each ball in the second half.

Bardoe positioned herself perfectly and it paid off with a goal when she pushed the ball into the corner of the net.

The final score of 5-0 to Petersfield reflected an impressive day’s work for the visitors, who produced a clinical edge to their finishing which Haslemere lacked.

Petersfield Ladies’ first team are now in seventh place in the Hampshire Division 3 (Women) table.
