Tristan Abrahams scored a late equaliser to earn nine-man Aldershot Town a dramatic 1-1 draw at Kidderminster Harriers in the National League.

Red cards for Jacob Borgnis and Hakeem Sandah left the Shots down to nine men after Lewis Walker opened the scoring, but Abrahams struck late on to rescue a point for the Shots in front of a crowd of 2,693 at Aggborough Stadium.

The Shots nearly took an early lead in the seventh minute when Elijah Oladunjoye’s long throw-in found Marcus Wyllie, whose header forced an excellent save from Kidderminster keeper Jack Wint.

Aldershot went close again four minutes later when Sandah found Marcus Dinanga on the edge of the box, who showed good strength before firing his effort just wide.

The hosts almost went in front on 21 minutes when Walker’s volley forced an excellent save from Shots keeper Nick Hayes.

The Shots won a free-kick in a dangerous position just outside the box three minutes later, but Sandah fired his effort over the bar.

Kidderminster took the lead in the 28th minute when Owen Evans’ cross was headed home by Walker.

The Shots were reduced to ten men on 39 minutes when Borgnis received a straight red card following a brawl involving several players from both sides.

Aldershot had a golden opportunity to equalise early in the second half when they were awarded a penalty after Wyllie was pushed in the box. Wyllie stepped up from the spot, but his 55th-minute penalty was saved by Wint.

The Shots were reduced to nine men in the 75th minute when Sandah received a second yellow card following a late challenge.

Aldershot scored a dramatic equaliser on 87 minutes when Conor Lawless’ free-kick was nodded on by Tyrese Dyce to the unmarked Abrahams, who applied the finish at the back post.
