ALRESFORD Town have moved up to ninth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after earning two wins in the last week.

The Magpies started their week with a 2-1 win at Bournemouth Poppies last Tuesday night (December 13).

Lukas McCartney gave the visitors the lead, but Bournemouth equalised.

Chris Mason then scored the winner to give Alresford the three points.

The Magpies continued their good form with a 2-1 win against Team Solent at Arlebury Park on Saturday.

The visitors took the lead, but Robert Flooks’ goal brought Alresford back on level terms.

John Cole then scored the winner to give the Magpies another three points.

Alresford have now won six and drawn two of their last eight games in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division, a run which includes five wins from the last five league matches.
