ALRESFORD Town remain in fifth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after winning 4-3 at home to Cowes Sports on Saturday afternoon.

John Cole gave the Magpies the lead, but Cowes equalised before half time. The visitors then took the lead in the second half, but Craig Harding’s header made it 2-2. Sam Doswell’s header made it 3-2, but Cowes equalised again. Cole then scored his second of the game to give Alresford the win.

The Magpies are now guaranteed to finish the season in fifth place in the table.
