ALRESFORD Town exited the Sydenhams Wessex League Cup with a 2-1 defeat at home to Hamble Club in the quarter finals last Tuesday night.

Sam Tonks gave the Magpies the lead in the 32nd minute, but John McKie equalised for the visitors on 52 minutes.

McKie scored the winner for Hamble Club on 85 minutes.

Alresford then won 4-1 at home to Bournemouth in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday.

Mike Gosney (2), Craig McAllister and Duarte Martins scored for the Magpies, and Edgar Zanin was on target for the visitors.
