ALRESFORD Town exited the FA Vase on Saturday as they fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Bodmin Town in the Second Round Proper on Saturday afternoon.

The tie went to extra time after finishing 0-0 after 90 minutes, and Ed Wilson scored Bodmin’s winner in the 112th minute.

The Magpies previously won three ties in the FA Vase, beating Ringwood Town 2-1 in the First Qualifying Round, Verwood Town 1-0 in a Second Qualifying Round Replay after a 1-1 draw, and Abingdon United 1-0 in the First Round Proper.

Alresford were also in action last Tuesday night, when they drew 1-1 away at Bemerton Heath Harlequins in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.

Sam Doswell gave the Magpies the lead in the seventh minute, but Kelvin Robinson’s goal earned Bemerton a share of the spoils.
