ALRESFORD Town exited the FA Vase on Saturday afternoon after slipping to a 3-2 defeat at Corinthian in the Second Round Proper.
The Magpies were 2-0 down early on but they fought back impressively and managed to get themselves back on level terms with goals from Chris Mason and Aaron Blaxall. The hosts then scored again though to regain the lead and seal their place in the next round.
Alresford were also in action last Wednesday night and claimed a point in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division with a 2-2 draw at home to Newport IoW.
Liam Triggs gave the visitors the lead early on, but Tom Sands equalised for the Magpies and Steve Hall gave the hosts the lead at Arlebury Park. Triggs then scored his second goal of the match to rescue a share of the spoils for the visitors.
