ALRESFORD Town slipped to a 2-1 defeat at home to Christchurch in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday afternoon.

The Magpies took the lead in the 17th minute through Adam Pearson’s goal, but Nick Swann’s equaliser on 70 minutes got Christchurch back on level terms.

Kieran Douglas then scored a minute later to give the visitors the three points.

The defeat leaves Alresford firmly in mid-table in tenth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.
