ALRESFORD Town are in fifth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after earning a comprehensive 5-1 win at Verwood Town on Saturday afternoon.

Tom Sands gave the Magpies the lead in the first half, and Chris Mason doubled Alresford’s lead after the break.

Geoff Dunn made it 3-0 before the hosts pulled a goal back. Steve Hall made it 4-1, and Dunn’s penalty completed the scoring.
