ALRESFORD Town are through to the next round of the Sydenhams League Cup after earning a comprehensive 9-1 victory at Follands Park on Saturday afternoon against Folland Sports.
Sam Burt helped himself to five goals, and Scott Munro, Steve Hall, Tom Richards and Chris Mason were also on the scoresheet as the visitors sealed an emphatic win.
The Magpies are out of the Andover Open Cup though after losing a penalty shoot-out against Winchester Castle last Thursday night.
The match finished 1-1 at Arlebury Park, but the visitors won 3-0 on penalties.
The Magpies also continued their impressive league form with a 2-1 win at Bemerton Heath Harlequins last Tuesday night (December 6).
John Cole gave Alresford the lead in the first half, but the hosts equalised after the break. Jack Wiffen then scored a late winner to give the visitors the three points.
