ALRESFORD Town slipped to a 5-2 defeat at home to Brockenhurst in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday afternoon.
Mark Barker gave the visitors the lead in the seventh minute, and Barker doubled Brockenhurst’s advantage on 17 minutes.
Mitch Speechley-Price made it 3-0 to the visitors in the 31st minute, although Tom Sands pulled a goal back for Alresford on 34 minutes.
Sands then scored his second goal in the 45th minute to make it 3-2 to the visitors at half time.
Matt Sheedy made it 4-2 to Brockenhurst on 60 minutes, and Speechley-Price completed the scoring for the day when he scored his second in the 90th minute to make it 5-2 to the visitors.
Alresford were due to host Andover Town at Arlebury Park last Wednesday night, but the match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
