ALRESFORD Town remain in fifth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after winning 3-2 at home to Whitchurch United on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Jason Silver and Danny Phillips gave the visitors a 2-0 lead, but the Magpies scored three late goals to turn the game on its head.

Tom Sands pulled a goal back for Alresford, and John Cole then scored the equaliser.

Craig Harding’s goal completed the turnaround and gave the Magpies the three points.
