ALRESFORD Town are in eighth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after winning 4-2 at home to Brockenhurst on Saturday afternoon.

Mitch Speechley-Price gave the visitors the lead at Arlebury Park, but goals from Sam Burt and Chris Mason gave the Magpies a 2-1 lead at half time.

Steve Hall’s header made it 3-1 to Alresford in the second half, before Speechley-Price scored his second of the match to pull it back to 3-2.

Tom Sands sealed the three points for the Magpies with a shot from the edge of the box which made it 4-2.

Alresford were helped by an impressive performance from goalkeeper Dan Kempson, who made a number of saves to deny Brockenhurst.

Alresford are now unbeaten in their last 11 Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division fixtures, winning eight of those matches and drawing the other three.
