BILLY Connor has praised Petersfield’s “amazing” fans for the way they have kept backing the club despite its current poor fortunes.

They were one of the reasons why the young striker decided to return to the club in November and he is pleased to see their continual backing both at home and away for the team whatever the results are on the pitch.

Connor said:?“We have a good bunch of fans who are always there home and away since I’ve been here over the last two seasons.

“This is amazing as not many would do that for a non-league club at this level and who are not having the best of times.”
