HORNDEAN continued their good form as they won 3-0 at home to Brockenhurst in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday afternoon.
Sean McMonagle broke the deadlock for the Deans in the 25th minute, and Alfie Lis doubled the home side’s advantage on 44 minutes.
Fuzz Kanjanda completed the scoring when he made it 3-0 in the 90th minute.
Horndean boss Michael Birmingham was delighted with his side’s performance.
Birmingham said: “We were exceptional in the first half. If it wasn’t for the Brockenhurst goalkeeper it could have been six or seven.
“We were very good in possession and our shape was magnificent.
“Sean scored a great goal, and Alfie is on fire at the moment. Alfie is very composed in front of goal and is a very cool finisher.
“It was nice for Fuzz to score as he has been one of our best players over the last five or six games.
“We’re ticking along nicely at the moment.
“We’ve got a lot of new players and we’re starting to consistently produce the levels I expect.
“That’s down to a lot of hard work on the training field by my backroom staff and the players.”
