HORNDEAN exited the Hampshire Senior Cup in the third round when they lost 3-1 at home to AFC Bournemouth last Tuesday night.
Charlie Seaman gave the visitors the lead in the 23rd minute, although Alfie Lis put the Deans level on 31 minutes. AFC Bournemouth re-took the lead when Seaman scored in the 42nd minute, and Frank Vincent made it 3-1 on 53 minutes.
Horndean boss Michael Birmingham said: “Bournemouth scored a tremendous first goal, but Alfie scored and we were in the game at 1-1.
“The second goal just before half time knocked the stuffing out of us.”
