EAST Hampshire’s football teams face a busy day of fixtures on Saturday.

As winter takes a grip, there are two East Hampshire derbies to look forward to in the last games before Christmas.

In the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division, seventh-placed Horndean will host 11th-placed Baffins Milton Rovers at Five Heads Park (3pm), while fifth-placed Alresford Town will be the favourites to claim the bragging rights when they entertain bottom side Petersfield Town at Arlebury Park in an East Hampshire derby (3pm).

In the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division, the East Hampshire derby between tenth-placed Liss Athletic and third-placed Liphook United at the Newman Collard Playing Fields looks like it will be a tough match to call (2pm), while fourth-placed Clanfield will host fifth-placed Infinity at Peel Park (2pm).

In Division 1 of the Hampshire Premier League, sixth-placed AFC Petersfield will face a tough test when they host league leaders Lyndhurst at Love Lane (2pm).

After Saturday the Hampshire Premier League will take a short break until January 6, although the Wessex League Premier Division will not be taking a break.
