EAST Hampshire’s football teams face a busy week of fixtures.

In the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division, mid-table Alresford Town face a tough trip to The Universal Stadium to face high-flying Sholing (3pm).

The Magpies will take encouragement from their 2-1 win at Sholing in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup on August 4.

In the first round of the Hampshire Premier League Senior Cup, Clanfield will travel to Marsden Road to face Paulsgrove (3pm), while Liss Athletic are also on the road as they face a trip to Timsbury Recreation Ground to face Michelmersh and Timsbury (3pm).

Horndean are in action next Tuesday night (September 12), when they will host Brockenhurst at Five Heads Park in the Sydenhams League Cup (7.45pm).

Petersfield Town are also in action in the Sydenhams League Cup next Tuesday night, when they will entertain Andover Town at Love Lane (7.45pm).

Alresford Town will be in action in the Sydenhams League Cup next Wednesday night (September 13), when they will host Christchurch at Arlebury Park (7.45pm).
