EAST Hampshire’s football teams face a busy week of fixtures.

In the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday, Horndean will host Portland United at Five Heads Park (3pm), while Alresford Town will travel to Westwood Park to face Cowes Sports (3pm).

Horndean manager Michael Birmingham is expecting a tough test against Portland.

He said: “Portland will be our hardest game of the season so far.

“They’ve got pace and power and experience.”

In the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division on Saturday, fifth-placed Liphook United will travel to Knowle Village Community Hall for a tough test against league leaders Infinity (3pm), and 14th-placed Clanfield will travel to Lordshill Recreation Ground to face 15th-placed QK Southampton (3pm).

In Division 1 of the Hampshire Premier League on Saturday, bottom side AFC Petersfield will travel to Upham Recreation Ground to face seventh-placed Upham (3pm).

In the North Hants Senior Cup next Tuesday night, October 23, Alresford Town will entertain Overton United at Arlebury Park (7.45pm).
