EAST Hampshire’s football teams face a busy week of fixtures.

In the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday, Horndean will entertain high-flying Christchurch at Five Heads Park (3pm), while Alresford Town will travel to Westwood Park to face Cowes Sports (3pm).

The Deans drew 1-1 at Christchurch earlier in the season, while the Magpies won 2-0 at home to Cowes on the opening day of the season.

Horndean manager Michael Birmingham is expecting a difficult match. “Christchurch are the best team we’ve played this season,” he said.

In the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division on Saturday, Clanfield will travel to Station Road Recreation Ground to face Chamberlayne Athletic (2pm), Liphook United will host Locks Heath at Liphook Recreation Ground (2pm) and Liss Athletic will travel to Hayling College to face Hayling United (2pm).

Clanfield won 4-2 at home to Chamberlayne in the reverse league fixture, while Liss drew 0-0 at home to Hayling earlier in the season.

In Division One of the Hampshire Premier League on Saturday, Denmead will host Upham (4.30pm).

Alresford Town will also be in action next Tuesday night, when they will host Hamble Club at Arlebury Park in a Sydenhams League Cup quarter final tie (7.45pm).
