CLANFIELD claimed the bragging rights with a 4-2 win against Liphook United in the East Hampshire derby at Peel Park on Saturday.

Matthew Rowland broke the deadlock for the home side in the fifth minute, and Mike Prew made it 2-0 to Clanfield on 35 minutes.

Rowland scored his second and Clanfield’s third goal of the afternoon in the 47th minute, and Prew then scored his second on 60 minutes to make it 4-0.

Ryan Angear pulled a goal back for Liphook in the 70th minute, and Justin Courtnage scored on 88 minutes to make it 4-2, but Clanfield comfortably held on for the three points.

The win takes Clanfield up to fourth place in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division, while Liphook remain the league leaders despite the defeat.
