CLANFIELD are in ninth place in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division after slipping to a close 3-2 defeat at Overton United on Saturday afternoon.

Steve Price gave the home side the lead in the sixth minute, but Darren Ferguson equalised for the Peel Park outfit on 29 minutes.

Matthew Rowland gave the visitors the lead in the 60th minute, but Price’s penalty on 72 minutes made it 2-2. David Parry then scored in the 82nd minute to give Overton the three points.

Liss Athletic were not in action on Saturday as they did not have a match scheduled, and Saturday’s results have left the Newman Collard Playing Fields team in 12th place in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division table.
