CLANFIELD remain in top spot in the Hampshire Premier League despite slipping to their first league defeat of the season on Saturday.

The Peel Park outfit lost 3-1 at Locks Heath.

The hosts took the lead in the 34th minute through Ben Chambers’ goal.

Chambers then made it 2-0 to Locks Heath on 40 minutes, and Joe Collins made it 3-0 in the 45th minute.

Clanfield pulled a goal back in the second half.

Liss Athletic are in fifth place in the Hampshire Premier League after losing 5-3 at home to Winchester Castle on Saturday.

Lincoln Pepall gave Liss the lead in the ninth minute, but Matt Hawkes equalised for the visitors on 11 minutes.

Ollie Sturt put Liss 2-1 up in the 22nd minute, but Maciej Marcinkowski equalised on 23 minutes.

The visitors took the lead for the first time on 48 minutes thanks to Joe Bell’s goal, and Marcinkowski made it 4-2 to Winchester Castle in the 55th minute.

Hawkes scored in the 60th minute to give the visitors a 5-2 lead, before Jake Pepall pulled a goal back for Liss on 88 minutes.

Liphook United are in seventh place in the Hampshire Premier League after crashing to a 3-1 defeat at Bush Hill on Saturday.

Perry Harding gave the hosts the lead in the 44th minute, and Harding doubled Bush Hill’s advantage on 57 minutes.

Jack Jewell made it 3-0 to the hosts in the 66th minute, before Harry Tremlett pulled a goal back for Liphook on 70 minutes.
